Acupuncture for the treatment of Infertility gets some air time on WB News! The statement in the video “There is no such thing as alternative medicine, there’s medicine, and its either proven, or not proven” by Dr. Bush a reproductive endocrinologist (IVF doc) is valid. Although not all modalities that are helpful have had the opportunity to have lots of funding behind them in order to get the “stamp of approval” that it works. After all acupuncture was around and working thousands of years!However, a german study showed that women going through IVF were 60% more likely to get pregnant if they used acupuncture before and after the IVF transfer. Now, we know from using acupuncture and Chinese medicine that this style of treating just before and after the transfer is FAR FROM OPTIMAL. In fact the goal of our style of treatment is to make you body/mind as healthy as possible so that you not only can have a healthy pregnancy, but a healthy baby, and healthy post partum mom too!
