Natural Remedies for Pediatric Conditions- ADHD, Autism, Ear Infections, Asthma and Digestive Problems
Lisa Cahill Green Lic.Ac. an acupuncturist at Root and Branch Oriental Medicine in Hopkinton MA, recently attended a seminar on Pediatric Acupuncture with Dr. David W. Miller, a pediatrician who got his medical degree at Brown University, and is also a licensed acupuncturist. Dr. Miller discussed Pediatrics from both Western and Eastern perspectives.
Lisa learned new ways to work with children to treat the following common ailments, among others: Otis Media (ear infections), Asthma, GI issues, ADD/ADHD and Autism. Treating children generally does not include using needles, but rather the use of non-invasive techniques such as: Non-Insertive needle techniques, Cupping, Gua Sha, Laser, E-Stim and Tui Na. The seminar was very informative and incorporated case studies and demonstrations with Pediatric patients and their families.
Lisa is excited to implement the skills she has learned as she continues to treat children eight and older. Please feel free to contact her with any questions related to pediatric acupuncture treatment at http://rootandbranchom.com.
